Overview
The YF-17.0-k is a high-performance thermal break strip used in insulated aluminum windows and doors. These units typically feature two extruded aluminum frames connected by glass fiber reinforced polyamide strips, such as the YF-17.0-k, which greatly enhances their thermal insulation properties. The addition of insulating polyamide strips can increase the thermal resistance of aluminum profiles by up to 533 times compared to standard, non-insulated profiles. This structure not only improves the thermal performance but also maintains the structural integrity and durability of the window unit.
In the thermal insulation design of aluminum doors and windows, nylon PA66 thermal break strips are inserted between the two aluminum frames, effectively blocking the heat conduction of the metal. During winter, the strips help minimize heat loss from the indoors to the outside, lowering heating costs. In summer, they prevent the transfer of heat from the outdoors, maintaining a cooler indoor environment and reducing reliance on air conditioning, contributing to energy savings and emission reductions.
The profiles of thermally insulated aluminum doors and windows with thermal break strips are designed for high strength. The inner frame features a hollow construction, offering excellent resistance to wind pressure and vibration. This makes them ideal for high-rise buildings or structures located in windy areas, such as coastal regions, where their wind pressure resistance ensures the safety and stability of doors and windows during harsh weather, preventing deformation and damage.
Wuhan Yuanfa has been at the forefront of thermal break technology since 2001, pioneering the development of PA66GF25 insulating strips for the construction industry. As a leading manufacturer in China, the company was invited to compile the national standard GB/T23615.1 for PA66GF25 insulating strips in 2008. Additionally, Wuhan Yuanfa has contributed to revising the industry standard JG/T174-2005 for thermal break strips, with recognition from the China Construction Metal Structure Association.
