Overview
The evolution of building doors and windows has progressed significantly, from early single-glass wooden and steel designs to hollow steel, aluminum alloy, and plastic steel windows. Today, energy-efficient options like thermal break aluminum alloy doors and windows, double-glass wooden windows, and aluminum-wood combinations coexist. Aluminum alloy doors and windows are widely favored for their lightweight, strength, rigidity, durability, fire resistance, large lighting area, and aesthetic appeal. However, their high thermal conductivity results in poor insulation performance.
To address this, manufacturers now use "thermal break aluminum" technology, which has become increasingly popular, with annual growth of about 10%. The key to this technology lies in polyamide insulating strips, which play a crucial role in enhancing the thermal insulation and energy efficiency of aluminum alloy doors and windows. These strips effectively separate the interior and exterior aluminum components, reducing heat transfer. While windows account for about one-third of a building's energy loss, the thermal break, which constitutes only about 4% of the window cost, can improve insulation efficiency by 20%-30%. Insulating strips are also widely used in glass curtain walls to meet growing energy-saving demands.
Aluminum doors, windows, and facades remain a popular choice due to their sleek appearance, strength, low maintenance, and resistance to warping or corrosion. However, as aluminum is not a natural insulator, polyamide insulating strips are now standard for improving thermal efficiency and reducing condensation.
Since 2003, Wuhan Yuanfa has focused on building energy conservation by introducing advanced technology and collaborating with renowned Wuhan universities to develop and produce polyamide insulating strips. Praised for their quality and performance, these products have been recognized as a "National Torch Plan Project" and have earned the company a reputation as a high-tech enterprise.
